Borough of Lansford

          The American Fire Company #1 provides fire protection to the residents of Lansford.   Located on 23 East Patterson Street, the fire company is housed on the bottom floor of the Lansford Borough Hall. In 1894,  a group of residents seen a need for fire protection in the borough and formed one of the first fire company in the Panther Valley. While protecting Lansford residents, the fire company has mutual agreements with the surrounding boroughs to assist them whenever they are in need for manpower at dwelling fires. The mutual agreement is in effect since 1989.
